SubZero Vodka Bar Only Restaurant in Missouri to Receive Top 100 Hot Spots Award

Gamlin Restaurant Group, which includes Central West End staples Sub Zero Vodka Bar and Gamlin Whiskey House, were recently honored with OpenTable’s Top 100 Hot Spots and Diners’ Choice awards, both given based on outstanding guest reviews.

Sub Zero Vodka Bar is the only restaurant in the state of Missouri to be named one of OpenTable’s Top 100 Hot Spots in America for 2015. This award, now in its fourth year, highlights hip new restaurants, celebrity chefs and avant-garde restaurateurs. OpenTable determines its list of honorees after analyzing more than five million reviews of more than 20,000 restaurants nationwide – all submitted by verified diners.

Sub Zero Vodka Bar, which has won this award for the past three years, offers diners an eclectic mix of handmade sushi and gourmet burgers served alongside an unparalleled vodka selection and an ever-growing cocktail list.

“We are so pleased that St. Louisans continue to recognize us among the city’s best,” Gamlin Restaurant Group Proprietor Derek Gamlin said. “We are always evolving as both a bar and a restaurant, and so we hope to keep finding a place on this list for years to come.”

Meanwhile, sister restaurant Gamlin Whiskey House, a traditional steak house with a Southern twist that offers more than 270 whiskies, received the OpenTable Diners’ Choice Award in both March and April. The award celebrates top-rated restaurants based on reviews from diners who book through the online reservations site.

“It is a huge honor to win an award that comes from the opinions of our guests. We’re passionate about what we’re doing here, and it’s great to see that the people who come in and try a meal or one of our many spirits enjoy it, and are passionate about what we’re doing, too,” Gamlin Restaurant Group Proprietor Lucas Gamlin said.

The Gamlin Restaurant Group has been a fixture in St. Louis’ Central West End for more than a decade. Brothers Derek and Lucas Gamlin have remained committed to bringing a contemporary energy to the neighborhood, blending trendy and traditional fare to suit their guests’ sophisticated tastes.

“Awards like these are fantastic for us, and for the Central West End, because they raise the level of intrigue about what we’re doing and help bring in new business,” Derek Gamlin said. “We love being part of this neighborhood and are happy to be part of its continued growth and vitality.”
