The Gamlin Restaurant Group donated $2,841 to Chris Long’s Waterboys Initiative through the Gamlin Gives Back program. The money was raised during Sub Zero Vodka Bar’s 11th anniversary celebration.

“So often we take our access to clean water for granted,” says Gamlin Restaurant Group Proprietor Lucas Gamlin. “We are excited to partner with Chris Long in his pursuit to provide this to so many of those in need around the globe.”

In the United States many do not need to worry about access to clean water. As St. Louis Rams defensive end Chris Long discovered firsthand, this is not the case for many in East Africa. After an eye-opening trip to the region, Long launched Waterboys to utilize the NFL’s platform to impact the world with the vision of providing clean water to communities that desperately need it. The goal of the program is to raise $45,000 per NFL team to build 32 sustainable, deep borehole well, subsequently providing water for over 160,000 people in Sub-Sahara Africa.
