Sub Zero Vodka Bar 12th Anniversary Celebration

1 Sep

Sub Zero Vodka Bar will celebrate 12 years in St. Louis’ Central West End with an anniversary party — free and open to the public — on Sunday, Sept. 18.

The annual party has become a can’t-miss event for local vodka lovers and an integral part of Gamlin Restaurant Group’s Gamlin Gives Back corporate giving program. This year, sales from the event will benefit five local charities.

Since 2004, Sub Zero Vodka Bar has been serving up an eclectic mix of sushi, burgers and, of course, vodka, from its spot at 308 N. Euclid in the heart of one of the city’s hippest neighborhoods. Sub Zero Vodka Bar opened as a small vodka bar and has since gone through numerous updates and renovations to expand both its menu and its physical space (most recently, a private event space in the lower level).

“We love being a part of St. Louis nightlife, and are thrilled to call the CWE home,” Gamlin Restaurant Group Proprietor Derek Gamlin says; he and his youngest brother, Lucas, also own Gamlin Whiskey House, 236 N. Euclid, and will open a third location, 1764 Public House, down the street in 2017. “There is so much energy and momentum right now in this section of St. Louis, and to see the evolution of the neighborhood over the past 12 years — it inspires us to keep evolving, too.”

Sub Zero Vodka Bar’s 12th anniversary party will kick off at 11 a.m. and will feature 12 hours of vodka drink specials; $1 from each drink purchased will be donated to local charities, including the Gateway Area Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Forest Park Forever, the World Pediatric Project, Ronald McDonald House’s CWE location, Cardinals Care and Blues for Kids.

Gamlin Restaurant Group will also donate $20 of every $100 gift card purchased during the event and in store or online throughout the week that follows (Sept. 19-24).

“We so appreciate the support of our loyal customers and local community, which has allowed our business to flourish for more than a decade,” Gamlin Restaurant Group owner Lucas Gamlin says. “It’s very important to us to find meaningful ways to give back to that community and to creatively incorporate philanthropy into our business model through our Gamlin Gives Back program.”
