Construction has officially started on 1764 Public House, Gamlin Restaurant Group’s newest venture, at the corner of Euclid Ave. and West Pine Blvd. in the Central West End.
“It’s an exciting time for our business. There is nothing better than seeing one of our ideas becoming a reality,” says Gamlin Restaurant Group Proprietor Derek Gamlin.
1764 will honor the history and resurgence of St. Louis and the Central West End neighborhood. When guests arrive at the neighborhood public house, they can expect to find a welcoming spot to gather with friends, or get to know St. Louis by grabbing a drink at the expansive bar and chatting with people from around town.
“1764 Public House will offer the casual, upscale environment that our guests have come to expect with our establishments while also bringing something new to the neighborhood. We want this to be a destination point in St. Louis, no matter what time day or night,” says Gamlin Restaurant Group Proprietor Lucas Gamlin.
“At 1764 our guests will have an authentic St. Louis experience – a welcoming, and friendly environment paired with great drinks and exceptional food options,” says Derek Gamlin.
There will be St. Louis influences woven throughout the restaurant from the name, which pays tribute to the year the city was founded, to a sampling of menu items that will include some modern twists on local favorites. As with all Gamlin Restaurant Group establishments, 1764’s menu will highlight fresh, local flavors.
1764 will feature a vibrant nightlife scene; similar to the group’s other two restaurants Sub Zero Vodka Bar and Gamlin Whiskey House. In addition to dinner and late-night service, breakfast and lunch will also be offered. An opening date has yet to be set.
“As with any new business, there are a lot of pieces in motion. We want to make sure we have the details in place for the innovative plans we have for 1764 before announcing our expected opening date,” says Derek Gamlin.
